The Hanky Panky dates back to 1925 and is credited to Ada Coleman, head bartender at the Savoy Hotel in London.
We tried many different gin and vermouth pairings in our quest for a true cocktail of seduction. Ultimately we found it in Aviation Gin by House Spirits Distillery and Martini & Rossi Rosso Sweet Vermouth.
Hanky Panky
1 1/2 oz Aviation Gin
1 1/2 oz Martini & Rossi Rosso Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Fernet Branca
lemon peel
Gently stir gin, vermouth and Fernet in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a wide slice of lemon peel.
