Great American Distillers Festival

This year’s Great American Distillers Festival is scheduled for Oct. 24-25, in Portland, Oregon.

The annual celebration of spirits will include seminars, parties, a cocktail competition and tastings by more than 35 craft distilleries from across the nation. This is a great opportunity to mingle with the distillers themselves, as well as sample some outstanding craft spirits.

Tickets are $10 for one day, or $16 for a two-day pass and can be purchased upon arrival at the festival from 11am to 7pm, at the Tiffany Center, 1410 SW Morrison, Portland, Oregon.

Friday, October 22:

 
12pm-4pm- Distillery Row Tours, begin and end at the Green Dragon

2pm- Agave Seminar with Ron Cooper at Irving Street Kitchen, 701 NW 13th Ave

4-4:45pm- Rye Whiskey Seminar – Dave Pickerell, Crystal Ballroom, Tiffany Center

4:30pm- March for Mezcal begins at Irving Street Kitchen, 701 NW 13th Ave

5-5:45pm- Single Barrel Tequila Seminar – Brad Hoover, Crystal Ballroom, Tiffany Center

6-6:45pm- Japanese Whisky Seminar – Yuri Kato, Crystal Ballroom, Tiffany Center

7pm- VIP Meet and Greet, at Rogue Pub, 14th and Flanders- featured speaker Bernie Kipp

8pm- Shipwrecked! $35 / person

Saturday, October 23:

 
8:30am- Distiller’s Bakon Mary Breakfast at the Green Dragon and Panel Discussion (Bus departs from Hotel Deluxe at 8:20).

11am-7pm- Great American Distillers Festival opens at the Tiffany Center

8pm-11pm- Ice Ice Baby $35 / person
Ride the school bus to the burbs for a gin punch featuring Beefeater and Tanqueray. Ice skating, ice carving, ice luges, ice dancing under the disco ball. Valley Ice Rink, 9250 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton OR.

Sunday, October 24:

 
8:30am Mazama Mary Breakfast and Panel Discussion at the Green Dragon(Bus departs from Hotel Deluxe at 8:20).
